Summary Description

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for driving product adoption and portfolio growth across North America by translating DAB’s global product strategy into effective regional commercialization.

This role leads product strategy execution, go-to-market planning, and application-based growth initiatives, ensuring products are positioned, launched, and adopted successfully across distributor, contractor, and rep channels.

Acting as the bridge between global product teams and the North American market, this role leverages Voice of Customer, CRM insights, and field intelligence to refine positioning, support training and enablement, and drive measurable commercial impact.

Product Strategy & Lifecycle

  • Manage the product portfolio strategy for North America
  • Support development of the product roadmap in coordination with global product teams
  • Lead product lifecycle management including launch, growth, and rationalization
  • Identify portfolio gaps and recommend new product opportunities

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Conduct market segmentation and identify high-growth applications
  • Monitor competitor offerings, pricing, and positioning
  • Lead Voice-of-Customer (VOC) initiatives with distributors, contractors, and reps
  • Provide market input to support pricing strategy and product positioning
  • Define target segments and priority applications in alignment with CRM-driven insights and distributor focus areas
  • Leverage CRM and field intelligence to identify priority accounts, segments, and growth opportunities
  • Translate VOC into actionable product, positioning, and training inputs

Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches and portfolio expansions
  • Define value propositions and product positioning
  • Partner with Marketing Communications to develop launch campaigns and messaging[RM3]
  • Localize global launch strategies into North American go-to-market plans across distribution and rep channels.
  • Define application-based positioning aligned to contractor and installer needs.
  • Ensure alignment between product strategy, campaigns, and channel activation.

Sales Enablement

  • Define the product enablement strategy across sales, reps, distributors, and contractors
  • Ensure consistency between product positioning, training content, and field execution
  • Partner with Training to drive adoption through structured enablement programs
  • Create product training materials and sales tools
  • Support distributor and rep education initiatives
  • Partner with Sales to ensure strong market adoption
  • Define core product training content and partner with the Training team to ensure consistent and effective delivery across target audiences

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing Communications, and Global Product Management / Development teams
  • Act as the primary North American interface to Global Product Management
  • Drive alignment between Product Marketing, Sales, Training, and Marketing Communications
  • Support SIOP for new product introductions by aligning demand inputs and market readiness
  • Support commercial decision-making related to product investments and positioning
  • Incorporate field intelligence from training and customer care into product positioning, lifecycle decisions, and Voice-of-Customer initiatives

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in engineering, manufacturing or related mechanical discipline
  • 8+ years engineering, product management or product marketing experience, ideally within water pumps or industrial manufacturing
  • Experience working cross functionally with a global team, providing local expertise and informing product market viability
  • Skilled at translating technical material into marketing terms
