We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, accurate and project orientated Chief Accountant to join our team in South Africa.

In the role as Chief Accountant you will:

• Be responsible of the AR operations, AP operations, IC operations, GL operations, Fixed Assets accounting, Treasury and reconciliation of general ledger accounts

• Be responsible for submitting the monthly financial reporting to the group on 2nd working day

• Coordinate and provide information to the external auditors for the annual audit process

• Be responsible for all taxes obligation, coordinate the external consultants for statutory accounts and taxes preparation and submission

• Be responsible for the credit management and credit collection

• Be responsible for treasury management • Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company procedures (Group Accounting Manual and appendices, Credit Policy etc..)

• Be responsible for the internal controls related to financial reporting

• Contact person for customers and suppliers on accounting topics • Be responsible for other government requirements (e.g. POPI, EMP Equity, Skills development, …)

• Leading the team and ensuring a high performing organization with high motivation and satisfaction according to group accounting principles

• Other tasks agreed with the Head of Group Accounting (for example Payroll support, Analysis, be part of assigned projects, …)

Competences & Skills

• Bachelor/Master Degree in relevant field - in finance Accounting / Auditing

• 3+ years of experience working as Chief Accountant in an international company or worked as an auditor

• SAIPA membership is a must • Good IT skills, in particular MS Office; excellent Excel

• Knowledge of ERP & BI system is a must • Good leadership and communication skills

• Good organizational and time management skills • Good in problem solving skills and result oriented

• Business ethics and transparency in teamwork

• Fluency in English and Afrikaans

• Available to travel 10-15 days to the headquarter in Italy
